Dodthey will be in gers fine without Manny !!!!!!

Not only have the L.A. Dodgers maintained their lead but they have increased it. By sweeping the Mets they are now 8 - 5 without him. Others such as Juan Pierre and Casey Blake have picked up their game to replace Manny. When he returns from suspension they will still be in 1st place. If they can continue their winning ways they just might win the World Series this year.

Dodgers are still in first place.

It has been 10 games since Manny Ramirez was suspended and the Dodgers are still in first place by a comfortable margin. With a 5 - 5 record since he was gone they haven't gained any ground but they haven't lost any either. They still have the best record in the majors and I believe they're playing pretty good ball without him. Keep winning games and everything will be alright.

Dodgers fans are finally happy.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are finally doing well. They have the best record in the majors and are undefeated at home, at 12 - 0 that is a modern day record to start the year. Will they continue to win or will they run out of gas and limp home with another less than stellar record. They haven't been winners really since 1988 when they won the World Series. I remember when I was 15, I went to bed when they were down to the Oakland Athletics thinking that they were going to lose. The next day I read they won on a Kirk Gibson walk off home run. If you ask me that has to be one of the greatest plays of all time. Keep up the good work and continue to do something special for the fans that have been following the Dodgers since they were kids. GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!

NCAA National Champions

Well I haven't been on in a awhile so I've had time to think about what UI am going to say. How 'bout them HEELS! They were a unanimous preseason #1 and they won the National Championship. Thats 2 in 5 years, right now only Florida can say that after they won it all in 2006 and 2007. That was basically the same team the Tarheels did it with 2 totally different teams, convincingly winning every game by at least 12 points. Now that they win the National Championship in basketball the next team sport is baseball. Guess what they are ranked #1 in that poll too. I wonder where they will be in Football. All said they have to have the #1 college sports teams in the country. Once again congrats to Tyler Hansbrough, Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington, Danny Green and all the people that made your championship possible. Here is looking forward to another one really soon?Embarassed

South Regional Final?

I told you that resting Ty Lawson was the right thing to do. He had 9 assists and 19 points tonight as UNC thrashed Gonzaga 98- 77. It was treally only close the first few minutes of the game. Tyler Hansbrough now becomes one of the very few to get 4000+ combined points and rebounds. I'm not completely sure but I believe he has 2934 career points, I may be wrong. I think that puts him 14th all time. Let's keep up the good work and win the 2009 national championship. GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

National Champions

North Carolina is doing the right thing, resting the hurt Ty Lawson. Not only is ACC POY getting well but the Heels' are getting some confidence that they can win without him. They may be better with him but they can win without him. Hopefully Tyler Hansbrough will break the ACC scoring record, he only needs 26 points and it will be his. Let me Congrtaulate Psycho-T on becoming the 1st player in ACC history to be a FOUR time All-American with his selection to the Sporting News All America team. GO HEELS you can go all the way!

CFB should take a hint CBB and have a playoff!!!!

Well I've had a month and a half since I've said anything. I've had time to think and let the idea of a playoff simmer. I beleive a playoff in CFB still makes a lot of sense. If congress needs to step in and tell the powers that be to instill a playoff system, hopefully a 64 team tournament , would be a good idea. Not only would money, alot of money, be made but fan interest would become more paramount than making a buck. I beleive that it would provide for a more dramatic time but it would also allow for, in my opinion, a better way of doing things. Include as many teams as you can to make the season more interesting, the bigger the better as the saying goes. Make the month of December something to remember, like March is for CBB. Remember change can be a good thing. GO HEELS!!!!!!!

What'd I tell you?

North Carolina played well against Duke and the outcome was pretty predictable. They didn't play Carolina basketball in the first half and trailed at halftime. I didn't watch the game but I believe UNC outscored Duke by 22 in the second half. They couldn't stop Ty Lawson which opened up others in the offense, but when he plays great they win the game.
